A domain name can contain all the letters of the alphabet (from "a" to "z"), all numbers (from “0" to "9") plus the hyphen "-" provided that it is not entered as the first nor the last character of the domain name that you wish to register.
For example you can register abc-123.it but not 123-.it or -123.it.
The length of the domain name, however, can vary from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 63 characters.
